About The Scientist

A team player specialized in postharvest operations and processing of food and agricultural products. Multitasker able to handle simultaneous projects. Skilled researcher in food handling and processing with project management, business development and M&E experience.
Research Scientist attached to the Food Technology Research Division. Lead engineer on UDESWA, Cassava G-Market and WAAPP2A projects, which involved design, construction, installation and assessment of bin, cabinet, solar and flash dryers. Team leader for fabrication and installation of food processing equipment, food processing plant design and management, and food business incubation activities.

SmallFishFood The SmallFishFood consortium is a multidisciplinary research team from Norway, the Netherlands, Germany, Ghana, Kenya and Uganda, covering the fields of fish stock assessment, processing, marketing, nutrition, risk assessment and governance. We will renew the food security discourse by focusing on the nutritional value of small fish (e.g. sardines). We aim for transformation to ecological sustainability and food security by asking: How can socio-cultural, economic and institutional transformations of the fish value chain, as well as technical and infrastructural innovations, contribute to improved, sustainable utilisation of small fish resources for Africa’s low-income population

WAAPP2A West Africa Agricultural Productivity Programme (WAAPP2A) Funding: World Bank. Develop technology for processing three intermediate products of cassava, composite flour of yam, cocoyam and sweet potato transferred and adopted by 2500 primary out-growers and out-processors.

GRATITUDE Gains from Losses of Rots and Tuber Crops (GRATITUDE) Funding: World Bank. Improve the postharvest management of cassava and yams leading to reduced physical losses, reduced economic losses through value-added processing and valorization of waste products.
